This is your Invitation to Move

Text reading 'Kinda.forward' with smaller text below that says 'Small steps to sustainability'.

Kinda.forward Small Steps to Sustainability happened on 27 June 2026 at UTAS Inveresk in Launceston, Lutruwita/Tasmania.

Post event reflection.

What a day it was. Over 500 people gathered at UTAS Inveresk for a free day of sustainability, community, and connection. Families made things in Sprouts Studio. The Story Loft filled with real conversations about circular economy, small business, and what it actually takes to build a more sustainable community. The New Horizons Choir opened proceedings and made the whole room feel alive. The Small Steps Wall filled pledge by pledge, hand by hand. And 7News came and told the story.

Thank you to every person who attended, every contributor who gave their time and expertise, and every sponsor who made it possible. You are all part of what Kinda. is becoming.

Northern Tasmania, doing what it does best.

Kinda.forward is proof that when you bring the right people together,

big things start from small steps.

The Sponsors.

Kinda.forward was made possible by the generous support of our sponsors and partners.

Thank you to Aurora Energy, the University of Tasmania, TasRail, West Tamar Council, City of Launceston, Gastronomy Northern Tasmania, the Tasmanian Waste and Resource Recovery Board, Weeding Hire and the Flying Colours Group for believing in what Kinda. is building.

Kinda.forward Small Steps to Sustainability was supported by the Tasmanian Waste and Resource Recovery Board, which is funded by the Tasmanian Government.

The Small Steps Wall

Every pledge made on the day now lives permanently on our website.

The Small Steps Wall is a growing record of what this community is committing to. It will be added to after every Kinda. event from here on.

Go and see what the community pledged.

The official photos from the day are here. The biggest thank you to our event photographer, Nick Hanson. Nick perfectly captured the day’s proceedings.

In the meantime, if you have photos from the day, we would love to see them. Send them through to hello@wearekinda.com.au or tag us on social media.

Thank you.

Kinda.forward was built on the belief that small steps, taken together, create something much larger than any one of us could manage alone.

To every person who attended, thank you for showing up and saying yes.

To every contributor who gave their time, expertise, and energy, thank you for trusting Kinda. with your story.

To every volunteer who gave their Saturday, thank you for making the day possible from the inside out.

To every sponsor and partner who believed in this before it existed, thank you for making it real.

And to the community of Launceston, Lutruwita/Tasmania, thank you for being exactly what we hoped you would be.

Small steps, big ripples.

Thank you for taking your

first small step.
